Who we are

Black Vault Remote (“Black Vault Remote”, “we”, “us”) is a secure remote desktop and IT administration product in development, part of the BlackVault family. This policy explains what information we handle when you visit blackvaultrd.com or write to us, and how we treat it.

Scope

This policy covers this website and the messages you send us, including early-access requests. The Black Vault Remote software and service are not yet available. They will come with their own privacy terms before early access begins, and we will update this page when they do.

What this website collects

This website is a set of static pages. It has no accounts, no forms, no scripts, no advertising and no third-party analytics or trackers, and it sets no cookies of its own. Its fonts and images are served from this domain, so loading a page does not send requests to other companies.

Like every website, these pages are delivered by a hosting provider. Our host, Cloudflare, processes the technical details of each request, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, to deliver the page and protect the site against abuse, and may use strictly necessary security cookies to do so. We may see aggregated traffic statistics. We do not use this information to identify you or to build a profile of you.

Information you send us

If you email us, for example at early-access@blackvaultrd.com, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and anything you choose to write. Please do not send passwords, keys or other sensitive information by email.

How we use information

We use the information described above only to respond to your message and handle your early-access request, to send you the early-access updates you asked for, to operate, secure and troubleshoot this website, and to meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help us run this website and our email, who may use it only on our behalf; when you ask us to; as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, where it remains subject to this policy; or when the law requires it.

Legal requests

We respond to valid legal process. We review each request, limit what we disclose to exactly what the request specifically requires, and notify affected people unless we are legally prohibited from doing so. We do not provide broader access than a request calls for.

Security

We protect the information we hold with reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Retention

We keep early-access correspondence for as long as we need it to handle your request and run the early-access program, and then delete it. You can ask us to delete it at any time. Request data processed by our host is kept under Cloudflare’s own retention practices.

Your rights and choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop sending you early-access updates, by emailing privacy@blackvaultrd.com. Depending on where you live, for example the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or California, you may have additional rights under local law, including the right to complain to your data-protection authority. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

Children

This website and Black Vault Remote are intended for businesses and IT professionals. They are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has written to us, contact us and we will delete it.

Where we operate

We are based in the United States. Information you send us may be processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the website and the product evolve. We will post the new version on this page and change the date at the top, and we will point out significant changes here.
